Are you missing spending the weekend at your favorite ski resorts? Luckily for us, most of the resorts in Utah have PLENTY of fun activities in the Summer to keep you coming back. We've outlined 10 of our favorite summer family activities for your family to check out!

Park City Mountain Resort:

No family stay-cation (or even day trip) to Park City is complete without an afternoon of play at Park City Mountain. Pick up an Adventure Pass and spend a day playing on the mountain. While the Alpine Coaster will keep your older kids saying, “Again!”, your littlest adventurers will have at least as much fun on the activities designed with them in mind. Kids 2-11 years old have their own ropes course, zip line, and tubing hill at Park City Mountain. While a ride up the Crescent lift to cruise down the alpine slide is an iconic PCMR family adventure, branch out and challenge your kids to a game of mini golf on the mountainside. The catch? The WINNER gets to buy ice cream at Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory for the family!

Cherry peak:

Cherry Peak might be the newest resort in Utah, but soon a summer family afternoon will become your new favorite tradition. While your family may want to mountain bike, hike, or check out their summer concerts, be sure to plan a ride the famous Redneck Waterslides. Want to give your kids an afternoon that they’ll be telling all their friends about? Take them for a horseback ride from the resort!

Sundance Mountain Resort:

Sundance Mountain Resort is the classic mountain oasis for the family in the summer. On the typical Saturday, Dad might take the kids on a hike to Stewart Falls whilift-servicedin bikes on the loamy lift-serviced trails. But at least once this summer, be sure to plan an afternoon touring the mountain via zip line! The ZipTour at Sundance Zip-line holds the record for the most vertical drop out of any zip line in the U.S. The adrenaline junky in your family will love soaring over 65 MPH through the sky.

Snowbird:

Snowbird has an activity for EVERY member of your family. While your littlest adventurers will love bouncing on the kids’ inflatables, your most daring adventurers will love soaring on the Mountain Flyer. Whether riding the alpine slide, mountain coaster, or vertical drop, everybody can have their unique adrenaline filled day. Want to get out some of those summer wiggles? Let your kids work those wiggles out while navigating through the ropes course, rock climbing, or flying on the bungee trampoline. Be sure to take the aerial tram up to the top of the mountain for lunch!

Beaver Mountain Ski Resort:

It’s a well-known fact that all kids love sleeping in tents. Want to earn epic mom/dad of the year? Stay in the yurt at Beaver Mountain! When your kids go back to school, the weekend yurt trip will be one of the highlights of the summer. Between mornings spent fishing and evening hikes, bring a few fun yard games for the family to love. Our favorites are slacklining, ladder ball, and cornhole. While you’re enjoying peach cobbler from the dutch oven or are roasting smores around the fire, this will likely one of the sweetest summer memories your family will make.

Solitude Mountain Resort:

Summer is the perfect time to nurture creativity. Take a break from scrubbing paint off your walls, and bring your crafty crew up to Solitude Mountain Resort for the evening. From 4-6 each Sunday snag a Solitude t-shirt and head to the tie-dye station. While the kids get creative, you can enjoy the live music in the village. Are your teens needing to get some wiggles out? Put them in a group MTB lesson (one of the most affordable ones in Utah- $45 for a 2hr group lesson).

Eagle Point Resort:

Eagle Point offers some of the wildest family mountain activities in the west. Want to take your kids on an adventure? Come ride ATV’s on the Paiute trail! The Paiute trail has been called one of the top 15 ATV trails in America, and the 275 miles of the trail system is designed for relaxed, family style of riding. Pack the ATV’s, a picnic lunch, and stop by the resort to get trail maps and find the perfect segment of trail to explore.

Deer Valley:

While the summer concerts at Deer Valley are truly memorable for the whole family (especially if Mom and Dad pack an awesome picnic!), learning to mountain bike will be a skill your children will treasure. Whether your beginner riders are looking for a 3hr clinic, or your intermediate riders want to sign up for the kids’ Summer Downhill Program, everybody will end the day feeling more confident and capable. Deer Valley offers loamy trails and bike rentals for every ability. Deer Valley Resort is THE PLACE for young kids to safely learn to mountain bike, or to sharpen an already blossoming skill set.

Snowbasin:

The Blues, Brews, and BBQ series at Snowbasin Resort are always one of the highlights of summer. But do you ever get the feeling that your kids might not love your dance moves? Send them out on a mini adventure of their own! Adventure tours for kids 6-10 ride the gondola and spend the afternoon exploring the mountain. Each week has a different focus, and your kids will love learning, exploring, and getting some hands-on experience. By the end of the summer, your kids will know the mountain better than YOU.

Brian Head Resort:

Are your kids missing the feeling of speeding down the mountain on a tube? Brian Head Resort has you covered! Their Avalanche Tubing hill runs all summer long. You'll want to check out their archery course, zip-line, rock climbing, and their disc golf course while you're there. Plan to visit during one of their music festivals or mountain bike events and make a weekend of it!
