While You Were Sleeping

I thought about telling this story last year. And the year before that. When I first became aware that the sons of my lovely friend Jo - are totally nuts.

Don't get me wrong, I love Jo. And I'm sure her sons are great. Take a look at the photos. This is where you know them from. You don't know them, maybe. But you've seen them. For the last FOUR YEARS, they show up in the cold, way too early, like the DAY before - 24 hours, 1440 minutes, 86400 seconds...you get the idea. They camp out to be First Chair for Opening Day at PCMR.

This one is extra special, as this year marks the resort celebrating it's 50th anniversary

So maybe you have to admit you are basically NO WHERE REMOTELY CLOSE to as hardcore as the boys are, that's ok. You can still get up and celebrate! It's looking like a great season is headed our way. I hardly make first chair on a normal day, never mind an opening - so congratulate these kids for sure.

Ski culture needs more of this - the fun the dare the excitement. How cool is it that these kids love their resort this much?
