Instagram From the Slopes

Before learning to ski, I had a vision of wide-open, barren, snow covered slopes, covered with hoards of people. Not something this nature-lover found appealing. That image was shattered when I finally slid down the hill for the first time. It was a bluebird day with sun filtering between the trees lining either side of the run. I was awestruck by the beauty. Yes, there were other skiers, but I also found myself alone on the trail.

This season, I’ve skied a more diverse selection of routes and found some stunning views. Sometimes just the lift ride is as stunning as the view from the top of the mountain. Here are a few of my favorite Instagram moments from this season (so far) To see my full collection of shots visit my Instagram feed @Active_Explorer.
