Not everyone has enough time to utilize a season ski pass. But paying full price at the ticket window can add up...fast! The good news is, with a little planning, there are ways to save on daily lift tickets.

Some of the tips below are perfect for a single day, while others offer a flexible mid-point between buying a day at a time and a full season pass. The key point I want to make is that planning ahead saves money. Combine some of the ideas below and you'll save even more. For example, buy a mid-week ticket online, a few weeks in advance, and you could save nearly $30 a day at Brighton. 

How to Save Money on Daily Lift Tickets

Yeti Pass -  The Yeti Pass is good for one lift ticket at 15 Utah ski and snowboard resort during the 2020-21 season. This is perfect for locals or visitors who like to explore. Priced at $649, you’ll save money even if you don’t hit all 15. It’s a great companion pass with the 5th and 6th Grade Passport so the whole family can ski/ride together and save. 

5th and 6th Grade Passport – Speaking of the Passport, this is the best deal going and you don’t have to be a Utah resident to use it! 

• 5th Graders can ski or ride THREE times at each of Utah's resorts. That's 45 days on the mountain for only $45!
• 6th Graders can ski or ride ONE time at each of Utah's resorts. That's 15 days on the mountain for only $45!

Ski City Super Pass – If you’re visiting the Salt Lake Area (a.k.a. Ski City), The Super Pass is a smart and flexible way to save. It costs less than paying at the window and gives you the option to ski either Alta Ski Area, Brighton, Snowbird, or Solitude Mountain Resort each day. The discounts start when you buy three days, and increase as you buy more. Plus, you have 14 days to use your passes, upping your flexibility. 

Planning ahead saves money

Ski Mid-Week – Many resorts, like Brighton for example, discount their ticket prices mid-week, but there is a catch, they need to be purchased online. For an even bigger discount, buy in advance. Plan ahead so you don’t miss out.
