Come for the scenery – stay for the scene.

Welcome to Salt Lake - a place where diverse pastimes, cultures and landscapes come together in our modern mountain hub of the west. We left ordinary behind a couple of stops and a couple centuries ago. And we’re eager to show you why.

Every winter, Salt Lake transforms itself into Utah’s gateway to The Greatest Snow on Earth®. Offering one of the most exhilarating and adventurous ski vacations in the world, it’s the ideal urban basecamp for skiers and riders who enjoy the winter playground of the Wasatch Mountains. Options are endless. It’s all about maximizing time on the slopes coupled with vibrant nightlife and diverse cultural experiences.

Salt Lake combines the endless urban activities and amenities of a big city with close mountain access. From its vibrant downtown, it’s just a 40-minute drive to Big and Little Cottonwood canyons where Alta, Snowbird, Brighton and Solitude, four of North America’s greatest mountain resorts, each average 500” of Utah’s famous powder each winter.

The Salt Lake Ski Super Pass provides a great way to purchase a set number of ski days at substantial discounts from individual day pass rates. It’s a flexible and value-laden way to enjoy multiple days of shredding Alta, Brighton, Snowbird and Solitude. One- and two-day passes are available through hotel packages, and you can buy three to 10-day passes online with no blackout dates. The Super Pass includes free transportation to and from the resorts via UTA ski buses and TRAX light rail. Equipment rental discounts at participating rental locations are included.

Talk about value! While traditional ski vacations come with high-season resort pricing, Salt Lake offers tremendous deals while delivering on a world-class getaway. From 5-diamond luxury hotels and snowy mountain lodges to modern urban hotels in the heart of city life – it is all minutes from the slopes. And with more than 21,000+ hotel rooms throughout the valley and hundreds of restaurants and bars, Salt Lake surprises and delights.

Home to the “2002 Winter Olympics,” Salt Lake is set apart for its close, quick access from The New SLC International Airport, just six miles from the city center. With phase one recently completed, this $4 billion project streamlines travel with direct TRAX light rail connection and onsite car rental.

Here, things that shouldn’t go together miraculously do and traditional outlooks mingle with progressive ideals. Salt Lake’s nightlife and cultural experiences highlight the intersection of conventional offerings and eclectic, dynamic dining, arts, and cultural scenes.

The Eccles Performing Arts Center downtown hosts first-run touring Broadway shows and nationally acclaimed productions. Included in the eclectic mix of cultural offerings are Utah Opera, Utah Symphony, Ballet West and a large selection of local theater companies. In the same blocks is a seriously innovative food scene with four James Beard nominees for the mountain region in 2022 alone, a wide range of bars and nightlife, every imaginable culinary pursuit and an inspiring local music scene. Intriguing experiences throughout the valley await.

Whatever your reason to visit, Salt Lake delivers #West of Conventional.

It’s our hope that your experience here is inspiring and that you leave Salt Lake changed for the better.
