Snowbasin's John Paul

by Utah Author January 8 2009 0 Comments

It was sometime during the 3rd or 4th run on John Paul that I skied up to my crew and said something along the lines of "The John Paul lift has got to be one of the best lifts in North America."

And it's true.   Aside from the vert it gives you or the access to more lines and terrain than some resorts have all put together is the fact that the thing is basically deserted.  And we were thankful.

If untracked powder, perfectly spaced trees, steep lines, open glades, and more terrain than you can ski in a few days is your flavor, stay away from the Gondola's at Snowbasin and expose yourself to the elements by riding John Paul.
