"A Couple of Friends" at Park City Mountain Resort

Today, I decided to shoot a little video blog of some of my favorite spots to hit on a powder day at Park City Mountain Resort.  George Goodman, my neighbor and good friend, essentially taught me how to ski in Utah over the past 5 years. So, today I decided to turn the camera on him. Check out the video see our favorite stashes!
The song which accompanies the video is written by a local artist named Bryon Friedman. He was raised in Park City, Utah, and as a professional skier he has been lucky enough to travel the world skiing the most beautiful yet challenging mountains while carrying his guitar the entire way. As member of the U.S. Ski Team, Bryon has placed top ten in World Cup competition, won a National Championship, and been ranked top 30 in the World.  To read more check out his website.
The song tells the story of a couple of friends skiing around Park City Mountain Resort, which I thought was a pretty fitting song for this sort of day.  Bryon also plays a couple of live shows throughout the year here in Park City and I'd suggest you don't miss them. I'm especially talking to single guys on ski vacations.  Let's just say his shows have a tendency to attract some pretty good looking local ladies, and from what I hear the ladies don't mind looking at him either.   So I guess it's a win-win for us all.
Finally, if you get a chance pick up the latest issue of SKI magazine, check out the article, "Original Boomtown".  "After the mines played out skiing saved a Utah ghost town.  Today, the trails of Park City Mountain Resort descend to the very sidewalks of one of the world's most vibrant ski towns.  And powder loving locals count their blessings daily."  I was one of those powder loving locals today, were you?
