All Aboard the Powder Express!

The first wave of the storm has arrived and we’ve actually received a bit more snow than was forecasted.  I measured about 5 inches around mid morning on top of 9,990 at the Canyons.

I’ve been out touring around in the Backcountry the past couple of days and the snow is actually great at the moment.  With a forecast like this, things will only get better. Way better!

  • Thursday NightSnow likely, mainly before 11pm. Cloudy, with a low around 12. Wind chill values as low as -4. Northwest wind 8 to 17 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of 3 to 5 inches possible.
  • FridayA 30 percent chance of snow. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 19. West southwest wind 8 to 13 mph increasing to 16 to 21 mph in the morning. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.
