Deer Valley Resort Welcomes Summer With Endless On-Mountain Activities and Lodging Packages

May 6 2019

PARK CITY, Utah (May 6, 2019) – Warmer temps and longer days greet Deer Valley Resort guests for their summer season beginning June 14 and running daily through September 2, 2019, then weekends only (Saturday and Sunday) through September 22, weather and conditions permitting. A summer vacation haven, the resort’s offerings include expanded lift-served mountain biking, hiking and scenic chairlift rides, children’s Summer Adventure Camp, world-renowned dining, horseback riding and star-studded, live musical acts at the celebrated Snow Park Outdoor Amphitheater.

“As much as our guests love our winter slopes, we are incredibly proud to share the Deer Valley summer experience with locals and visitors from all over the world,” said Coleen Reardon, Deer Valley Resort Director of Marketing. “Our sprawling trail system, unforgettable vistas, world-class dining, and unending outdoor recreation and entertainment provide the ultimate summer mountain experience.”

Deer Valley Resort will continue building on its ever-growing mountain biking experience with the opening of Undertow, a brand-new intermediate flow trail on Bald Eagle Mountain. The three-mile, modern singletrack trail can be accessed via Homestake Express chairlift, running for its first summer connecting mid-mountain and lower mountain terrain. Bike clinics for children and adults alike encourage families to get out and ride together and enjoy Deer Valley’s trail system, designed to accommodate all ages and abilities.

Summer Adventure Camp returns with indoor and outdoor brain-building and recreational activities geared toward campers from 2 months to 12 years old. Nestled in Deer Valley’s breathtaking mountains, hillside playgrounds and lakes, this state-licensed center provides customized activities and care for each age group. The center has built-in nooks for entertainment and performances, a children’s rock climbing wall and a full supply of craft projects, games, puzzles, videos and books to complement outdoor play. Summer Adventure Camp is based out of the Children’s Center at Snow Park Lodge and runs Monday through Friday, June 10 through August 19 (no camp held July 4 and July 24). Advance reservations are highly recommended as the program typically reaches capacity.

Park City’s cool, summer nights wouldn’t be complete without a full schedule of outdoor concerts. Home to three unique concert series, including the Deer Valley Concert Series, Utah Symphony’s Deer Valley® Music Festival and the Grand Valley Bank Community Concert Series, Deer Valley’s Snow Park Outdoor Amphitheater is the perfect spot to wrap up a full day of summer fun. The full summer concert lineup can be viewed here on deervalley.com. Gourmet and Deluxe Picnic Bags are the perfect al fresco meal from Deer Valley’s kitchens with child-friendly selections, gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian meals.

For passionate foodies with refined palates or those just looking to refuel before their next mountain adventure, Deer Valley’s culinary professionals pride themselves on preparing fresh, innovative fare each and every meal of the day. Guests visiting mid-mountain can enjoy Royal Street Café for lunch, featuring Deer Valley favorites like the Dungeness Crab Tower or the Bacon BBQ Bison Burger. Deer Valley Grocery~Café offers gourmet grocery items, house-prepared take-away entreés, soups, salads, and sandwiches made with locally sourced ingredients. For Deer Valley-inspired brick oven cuisine, The Brass Tag offers nightly dinner service featuring fresh seafood skillets, seared meats, oven roasted fresh fish, locally sourced produce, pizzettes and specialty sides as well as a full bar.
