Pow=Hucking at Rocky Point

Blue bird Pow day! Deep snow, great visibility, and low avalanche danger can only mean one thing: Backcountry hucking(dropping cliffs). Conan Norkus, Randy Reynolds and I strapped on our beacons and headed over to Rocky Point. There we ran into some Alta rippers including Max Kuszaj, David Lamb, Jessie Hall, Kristian Hansen and Timmy. The snow was so good that guys were landing in each other’s bomb holes (area where someone else has already landed, also known as the “hot tub”) and still getting soft landings. We got in some hucking and some wide-open Pow lines that had us grinning ear to ear. Randy Reynolds shot video, and Kristian Hansen got some pics for his Altabird.com Web site. Check out the footy (footage) shot by Randy.
