There was music bumping in the tram when they opened it today on Thanksgiving. The best skiing, however, was off the Gad 2 chair. The mountain was empty and the skiing was surprisingly good. With most people cooking and watching football, there were pow shots and soft crud snow for those who opted to spend their day at the Bird. Skiers right, down from the Gad 2 chair, we found creamy pow lines in the trees. The more open runs were tracked up, but the snow was still soft. There were some shrubs, tree trunks and rocks to avoid, but they were easy to see. We stayed over at Gad 2 for most of the day and then headed back to the tram for an end of the day cruiser. We cruised down Regulator and then it was time to eat as much as possible, and pass out. There’s not enough time to mow the lawn…..
