PowderTwins ski Park City Mountain Resort

by Ski Utah Yeti March 30 2012 0 Comments

Hi, this is Jacob.  Park City Mountain is awesome.  It’s one of my favorite places to ski because there is a lot of cool stuff to do there.  You should know that this is a huge ski resort.  You can spend a whole day just skiing a couple of areas.  What I like to do is start by at the 3 Kings Lift and ski the terrain park and massive half pipe a few times, and then go up the mountain to ski the rest of the resort.  The nice thing about starting at 3 Kings is you get to park close to the lift and you get to start skiing quickly.  On this visit my little brother Nathan did his first two box rails at without falling, which was pretty cool.

A fun place to go next is to the Silverlode lift and do the Adventure Alley runs.  These are really fun runs through the trees, and they are wide enough so any skier can do them.  You can find them because they are marked with funny looking metal “snow bug” statues (you can see them in my video).  With all the powder on the runs these were a lot of fun.

After this, make sure to go over to the Thaynes lift and ski to the bottom of Keystone.  They have a bunch of abandoned mine buildings there that you ski up to and look at.  They are really cool looking, and always look inside to see if I can find gold or silver.  After this, head over to Jupiter Bowl for the deepest and hardest part to ski at Park City.   After that, you can pass out in the snow because you’ll be whipped out….or head down to the base area and race the NASTAR course on the way.

Like I said, Park City is awesome.  We’ve now hit 12 of Utah’s 14 ski resorts so we only have 2 left.  If you have any questions about what a kid thinks about Park City, please let us know in the comments below.  You can also follow us on Twitter at @PowderTwins.
