ARK CITY, UT (December 9, 2009) — A vision almost 20 years in the making has been realized in a new development uniquely situated in the heart of Park City, Utah’s historic Old Town district with an unparalleled ski-in, ski-out amenity. Located on Park Avenue next to Town Lift Plaza, Parkwood Place is the last parcel of land to be developed in Park City’s Old Town, offering immediate access to Park City Mountain Resort and a one-block walk to Historic Main Street.
 
Consisting of an exclusive enclave of eight new custom-built homes, Parkwood Place features floor plans—built in a style designed for historic preservation—that range from 3,900 square feet to 6,000 square feet and offers amenities, such as private 2- or 3-car garages, rarely found in Park City’s historic district. Five of the homes are new construction, while three are historic homes that have been completely transformed and renovated. Distinctive in its design and configuration, the ambitious project was spearheaded by developer David Belz, who began planning Parkwood Place nearly 20 years ago when he made Park City his permanent residence. As a professional architect, Belz has a long-standing and nationally recognized tradition of building community legacies. In addition to Belz, Jeffrey Kuhn, as the owner’s representative was integral in all facets of the Parkwood Place project.  A long time friend and business associate of New Star General Contractors, the project would not be complete without the tenacity of Kuhn.  New Star General Contractors—a highly reputable construction management company boasting an extensive, high-end Park City clientele—led the construction team. All cabinets, floors and doors throughout the project were manufactured at New Star’s in-house mill.

The sole intent of the intricate process was to design and create the most impressive, luxurious, spacious homes possible, while preserving the historic integrity of the area and leveraging the project’s idyllic location.”
