Golf Event

Join us June 5, 2013 for Ski Utah's annual membership golf tournament. This year's tournament will be held at Wasatch Golf Course. The tournament will begin with a shotgun start at 8:00 a.m. and will be followed with a luncheon. The price to participate is $65 per person, which includes 18 holes of golf, golf cart, lunch, sleeve of golf balls, and tees. Members are welcome to invite guests.

If you would like to participate, donate swag, or sponsor a hole ($100) please contact Justin Davis via email justin@skiutah.com or by phone (801) 534-1779. Participants need to RSVP by May 30, 2013. Sponsorships are due by May 24, 2013.

Snowbird Board Meeting

Plan to attend this month's board meeting Wednesday, April 24, at Snowbird and hear the latest updates from Ski Utah and its staff. The meeting will be held in the Alpine B & C room, located in the Snowbird Center at Entry 2, and will start at 9:30 a.m. Continental breakfast and ticket distribution will occur at this time, followed by skiing at Snowbird. 2013-14 Print Co-op

Ski Utah has, once again, negotiated great advertising rates for our members in various publications for the 2013-14 season. If you're planning to place print ads next Fall, check out the rates on the attached insertion order before finalizing your buy. Ski Utah will only be placing ads in a select number of the publications but will be happy to secure advertising in any of these publications and issues on your behalf. 2013 Utah Tourism Conference

Don't forget to register for this year's Tourism Conference. This annual two-day gathering of Utah tourism partners is a great opportunity for colleagues to network with peers, discuss key issues, share best practices, and learn new trends and technologies from the best in the industry. The Conference will be held May 14-16, 2013, at the Dixie Center in St. George, Utah. Registration fee is $175 per person and decreases to $150 per person for two or more representatives from the same company. Student fee is $50. Register for the conference by Clicking Here.

Coming May 23rd: City Weekly’s Summer/Fall Outdoor Recreation Guide - (Glossy magazine inserted in the 5/23 City Weekly with a 20K over-run distributed at Utah welcome centers, SLCVB, hotels, resorts and strategically located free-standing racks throughout the Wasatch Front) Space deadline is Friday April 26th and art is due on Wednesday May 1st.

Airport TRAX Line

Come celebrate the grand opening of the Airport TRAX line. In partnership with Salt Lake City and local businesses, the official ceremonies and community celebration will be held on Saturday, April 13, with regular service starting the next day (Sunday, April 14). The celebration will include a “food as your fare” initiative, letting the public ride the new line in exchange for a donation to the Utah Food Bank. Activities and events will also take place at each station location with food, music and fun for the whole family. Join us and celebrate this monumental accomplishment.

Spring Demo at Alta

Come join Ski Utah's members Powder House Ski Shops and Alta at their spring demo this Saturday, April 6. Registered attendees can test next year's skis from dozens of manufacturers. You can register at all of Powder Houses locations. Registration will also be available from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm the day of the event. For more information, click here.

Bring a Friend Challenge Grand Prize Winners

Three of the nearly 175 Bring a Friend Challenge (BAF) participants won Grand Prize trips to resorts around the country to be redeemed in the 2013.14 season. For their effort to sign up a newcomer for a skiing or snowboarding lesson at resorts around the United States, Brittany Comegna won a trip to Sun Valley, Ida., Mark Gempler won a trip to Park City Mountain Resort/Canyons/Deer Valley, Ut. and Eric Waters won a trip to Smugglers' Notch, Vt.

7th Annual Alta Gala

Join us Friday, April 5 from 7:00 - 11:30, in celebration of the arts, environment, and history of Alta and Alta Ski Area's 75th Anniversary. The Alta Gala raises funds and awareness for Alta's three nonprofits: Friends of Alta, Alta Community Enrichment (ACE), and the Alta Historical Society. Enjoy delicious food and drink at La Caille Restaurant while listening to live music, by Lake Effect. The silent auction features items for everyone and you'll be ready to smile for the photo booth after dancing. Prices are $125 per person or $1,650 for a table of ten people.

Celebrating Salt Lake's Tourism Industry

Join Visist Salt Lake Thursday, March 21, at The Depot for a FREE concert celebrating Salt Lake's Tourism Industry. The concert begins at 9:00 p.m. and will feature The Devil Whale, an incredible local band who recently toured with Neon Trees. If you would like to attend please register Here for free admission. Thanks to our partners, Hot Chillys and Rossignol, Ski Utah members have been invited to attend a sample sale Friday, March 22 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. and Saturday, March 23 from 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. at the Rossignol showroom (1413 Center Drive, Park City). Sample sizing is limited so make sure you show up early!

Momentum Adventure Center Hosts Ski Talk

Join Momentum Adventure Center this Thursday, March 14 and hear a world renowned mountain guide, Adrian Ballinger, recount his 12 month expedition of skiing the 8000-meter peaks in the Himalayas. The show will include stunning photos, videos, and stories from Adrian's journey. This show will begin at 7:00 p.m. and is free and open to all ages.

Member Road-Trip

It's that time of year again to road-trip South to Southern Utah! Please join Ski Utah on Friday, March 8, for skiing at Eagle Point. Meet in the Canyons Side Lodge in the Outpost Grill at 9:00 a.m. for a light breakfast and lift tickets. Parking: Use the 2nd Solitude enterance (upper lot) to access the paid parking area near the base village. Validations will be provided at the meeting.

RAMP Sports Mixer

Join us and the Park City Chamber/Bureau today, February 26, from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. at RAMP Sports for an after hours mixer. There will be hors d'oeuvres and beverages along with members to network with.
