Alta Networking Day

Alta's Networking Ski Day is tomorrow February 12. Join Ski Utah and its members at Alta on February 12, 2013 and enjoy a day of skiing. Plan to meet at 9:00 a.m at the Albion Grill. At this time, lift tickets will be distributed. If you wish to attend, but have not RSVP'd to justin@skiutah.com, please do so by the end of today.

Tourism Day on the Hill

Utah’s tourism industry gathers in the Rotunda in the Capitol Building on Utah’s Capitol Hill in Salt Lake City to talk tourism economic development with Utah’s legislators on February 13, 2013 from 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. Be sure to join your colleagues at Tourism Day on the Hill to show Utah’s legislators that we are united in our support for the Tourism Marketing Performance Fund!

Beaver Mountain Networking Day

Sundance Networking Day

Join Ski Utah and its members at Sundance January 30, 2013. Attendees will be able to enjoy a day of skiing. Plan to meet at 9:00 a.m. in the Creekside Room where a lite continental breakfast will be served. Lift tickets will be distributed at this time. The Assembly

This Friday February 1, 2013, Ski Utah will be attending "The ASSEMBLY", a one- day gathering of stakeholders, who share an interest in year-round mountain tourism and the economic foundation upon which the industry’s future will be constructed.

The agenda is designed to provide “what you ought to know…” in order to better market and operate a mountain resort or related tourism- dependent business. Presentations will be developed and led by recognized industry leaders, using an interactive format among presenters and more than 40 Affiliate Partners. One part fact base, one part roundtable, one part focus group: The ASSEMBLY is a unique approach to data- based decision-making in a collaborative environment. The future ‑ we think - is outside the box of historical convention, and so is The ASSEMBLY.

Learn to Ski and Snowboard Month

January is National Learn to Ski and Snowboard Month and Ski Utah has a goal of acheiving 10,000 beginner lessons during this month alone! Help us reach this goal by taking a lesson or inviting a friend to take a ski or snowboard lesson. Resorts Nationwide will be offering deals on beginner lessons. Ogden Valley Snowdance and Auction

The Ogden Valley Business Association and The Snowbasin Adaptive Sports Education Foundation are hosting the Annual Snowdance and Auction on Saturday, January 12, 2013. This event, in its eleventh year, is a fundraising dinner and auction held in Earl's Lodge at Snowbasin Ski Resort. Festivities begin at 6:00 p.m. Poceeds from the event will be used to enchance the programs of The Snowbasin Adaptive Sports Education Foundation and to further the goals of The Ogden Valley Business Association. UTA Now Offering Ski Service Routes from Ogden

Ogden City and Weber County are pleased to announce a new agreement with the Utah Transit Authority to offer seasonal ski service to the greater Ogden area ski resorts. Daily service to Snowbasin and Powder Mountain is planned to begin Saturday December 15, 2012. Service will originate from the Transit Center in downtown Ogden. Grizzlies Ski Industry Night

Come watch the Grizzlies take on the Idaho Steelheads during Ski Industry Night December 19, 2012 at The Maverick Center! Brighton Ski Day Recap

Last week was Ski Utah's first On Mountain Networking Day for the 2012-13 season! The snow was soft and spirits were high as Ski Utah members slashed through the snow and carved up the mountain at Brighton resort. Brighton - Tomorrow will be Ski Utah's first on mountain networking day for the 2012-13 season. The on mountain networking day will be at Brighton resort. Plan to meet at 9:00 a.m. in the Manor building, located at the base of the Majestic lift. Lift tickets will be distributed at this time. If you wish to attend please RSVP to Justin@skiutah.com

Gorgoza Tubing Park Opens

Beginning December 1, Gorgoza Park is scheduled to feature its full complement of winter activities for guests of all ages, including: lift-served beginner and intermediate level tubing lanes; Fort Frosty, a winter play area for younger guests; a mini snowmobile course for kids ages 5-12; and a Learn to Ski & Snowboard Zone that includes rental equipment for kids 8 and under.

Winter Pop Up Market

The Downtown Alliance is launching a series of “Pop-Up” Winter Farmers’ Markets with a local food focus. These one-day events will be held monthly (November – April) at different downtown locations. The first market will be held on Saturday, November 17th from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, at Rico Foods Warehouse (545 W. 700 S).

UOT Winter Ad Launch

The Utah Office of Tourism plans to celebrate its winter ad launch this Wednesday, November 14 from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Capitol Rotunda. Join us in celebration and have your photo taken on an actual chairlift and/or with the Utah Snowflakes. Light refreshments will be served.
