Cabin fever is defined by “a state characterized by anxiety, restlessness, and boredom, arising from a prolonged stay in a remote or confined place.” Although our backyard of the Wasatch Front is a little bigger than a confined place, there were stress signs clearly visible in the faces of those on the mountains for the last month. The report from yesterday from NOAA stated, “…WINTER STORM WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 3 PM MST FRIDAY…SNOW ACCUMULATION: NEW SNOW AMOUNTS OF 3 TO 6 INCHES FOR THE SALT LAKE VALLEY.” With four of Utah’s resorts showing Monster Dumps of 12” or more with more on the way, we can say that finally, the cabin fever has lifted.

Weekend snowreport is shaping up to be deep.
