The sensational Ski Utah blog team met up in Odgen last week for a day to look back and reflect upon the 2011-12 season. The brainstorm session was properly kicked off with a round of indoor sky diving known as iFly at the Salomon Center and finished up in style at Rooster's Brewing Co.
Understandably this year delivered a few less powder days than other Utah winters, but nonetheless the team enjoyed a winter in Utah that still welcomed 400 inches of snow, world class events and even a stunt in which local entrepreneurs and bloggers skied all 14 Utah resorts in one day.
Cheers to the winter of 2011-12, and in case you missed it, here are each blogger’s most celebrated post:
Jodi Saeland - Brighton snowboarding lessons at 4 years old! Brennan is a local Salt Lake kid who developed a passion for snowboarding this season at age 4.
Park Rat Tom - Hide Your Couches: The 5 Golden Rules of Surfing. Why not accept a few couch surfing tips from a pro?
Powderhound Cat - How To: Look Like a Pro. Pumped that the “How To” series was born this year.
Powderhound Matt - It’s just deeper at Solitude. The way skiing should be, DEEP (snorkel needed).
Ride Utah - The North Face Masters: Part 3 - Finals.
Ski Utah Yeti - Video footage from Utah’s 50’’ storm.
Thomas Cooke - The Six Inch Rule. 6 inches of snow or 6 feet, kids don’t care.
Bonus Post - Spring Fever @ PCMR. Mushy, slushy, slippery terrain park fun.
And that's a wrap, what was your favorite blog story from the season? What are some blog angles that definitely need to be covered next season?
