Talisker Club Park Unveils New Spa Facilities

PARK CITY, UT – Talisker Mountain Incorporated, an exclusive residential development in Park City, Utah, recently unveiled Talisker Club Park, a series of clubhouses designed by the renowned architecture firm Robert A.M. Stern Architects, LLP. At the heart of Talisker Club Park, members will enjoy Talisker Spa at Tuhaye – an oasis of tranquility set in a stunning natural environment.

Talisker Spa is led by spa industry veteran Angel Stewart, who brings more than 20 years of experience to Talisker Club. Previously, Ms. Stewart served as the opening Spa Director of the internationally acclaimed Spa at Las Ventanas al Paraiso, in Los Cabos, Mexico, one of the world’s most luxurious resorts. She oversaw the development and evolution of what is widely recognized today as one of the most sophisticated and innovative centers for healing and rejuvenation in Latin America.

The journey to rejuvenation begins inside this vibrant enclave where earth’s most spectacular natural elements – fiery rock, exotic marble, sparkling amethyst – awaken the senses with their electrifying beauty. Spa treatment rooms, including as a separate manicure/pedicure room, are finished with Teakwood marble from Pakistan, Jerusalem gold limestone, black granite, Venetian plaster and quartzite floors.

Talisker Spa features lavish, private men’s and women’s changing suites, including steam rooms and whirlpool areas, each featuring a luxurious glass-tiled shower with five soothing showerheads. The whirlpools, finished with a white pearl pebble tec surface and trimmed with aqua and green Ann Sacks glass tile, are scalloped to create five personal seating areas, each with its own set of jets. The ethereal steam rooms feature black granite floors and hand-cut granite boulders, seating six, while six sets of white granite footrests stay cool amidst the steam and two grand amethyst geodes glow from backlit crystal niches recessed into the walls. Chilled to 60 degrees is the decadent “cold room,” offering members a refreshing blast of water from the 12-inch showerhead, and showcases the hand-carved, white granite “Giving Bear,” which holds refreshing ice chips in its paws. .

Members may choose from one of three exclusive Talisker Spa experiences to begin their journey through the cleansing of both body and mind. The Steam & Snow Shadow Experience begins in the ethereal steam shelter, where guests rest upon cool white granite boulders, inhaling the natural fragrance that is released as when they gently tap the body with fresh bundles of eucalyptus branches, encouraging circulation and detoxification. The Aquatherapy Experience allows members to float in a perfectly-sculpted underwater chaise, feeling the day melt away while soothing jets pulsate the back and legs. Prior to any spa treatment, guests are invited to spend a few minutes in the plush lounge where they can connect into a personal biofeedback program. Healing Energy Rhythms, developed by Deepak Chopra, M.D., Dean Ornish, M.D. and Andrew Weil, M.D., is designed to relax the body and mind while guiding guests through breathing and meditation techniques that encourage balance and healing.

Lakota Raindrop Ritual (80 minutes)

Inspired by a Native American tradition, 10 pharmaceutical grade essential oils are dropped along the spine in sequential order, encouraging the body’s structural and electrical alignment. The rolling massage techniques of Tibetan reflexology – a precursor to acupuncture – help the osmosis process and encourage the body to heal itself. Excellent for boosting the immune system, releasing muscle spasms and reducing inflammation. This treatment brings renewed energy to your tired, travel-weary body.

Balanced Rock Ritual (80 minutes)

Melt into relaxation with this heady combination of massage and nurturing. Penetrating heat from smooth, warm basalt stones relieves tension in targeted areas, while a Native American smudging ritual harmonizes the emotions, calms the mind and cleanses your energy.

Hot Rock Herbal Manicure Ritual (50 minutes)

This signature ritual for hands and arms uses smooth, hot basalt stones and a blend of herbs used in traditional Native American therapies. Your skin will feel renewed through this healing ritual which cleanses, exfoliates and lubricates hands and arms, nails and cuticles.
