SALT LAKE CITY, UT- On Tuesday, April 8, 2008 ten San Diego locals will board the 6:15 a.m. Delta flight to Salt Lake City for the ultimate one day ski vacation. Five lucky winners of the Ski Utah ‘Ski In- Fly Out’ promotion and a guest of their choice will be flown to Salt Lake City International Airport and driven to one of five different Utah ski resorts. The pairs of skiers will enjoy Alta/Snowbird, Brighton/Solitude, The Canyons, Deer Valley or Snowbasin. They will be provided with the complete ski package including rental equipment, a day of skiing, lunch and dinner. This crazy mad dash is the end result of the ‘Fly in – Ski Out’ campaign designed by Ski Utah and the Utah Office of Tourism. The campaign promotes Utah’s great spring skiing conditions and incredible accessibility, perfect for last minute ski visits.

With Easter falling at the earliest time possible many skiers might have switched their recreational focus from skiing towards other summer activities. “Utah has seen some very impressive snowfall this winter season,” said Ski Utah President Nathan Rafferty, “We need to share with our local and neighboring areas that now may be the best time of the year to enjoy our world class skiing and amazing conditions.” Highlights of spring skiing include sunny skies, warm temperatures, uncrowded slopes and a variety of concerts and activities at many resorts.

The skiers’ day will end with a group dinner and reception at Squatter’s Pub in Salt Lake City where the nine-foot tall Ski Utah Yeti will greet the guests. Media are invited to attend the reception upon request.
