Wolf Mountain Ski Resort in Eden Opens 2011-2012 Season Nov. 25

Wolf Mountain Ski Resort in scenic Ogden Valley, Utah, will open a portion of its 110-acre ski mountain Friday, November 25, with new carpet and lighting in the quaint “barn” lodge and a new cable on the popular Wolfdeedo Lift.  

 

Wolf Mountain has something for skiers and snowboarders of all levels. Twenty percent of the mountain is available for beginners, 50 percent for intermediate and 20 percent for advanced skiers. A Magic Carpet conveyer belt lift provides an ideal learning experience for beginners. Once newbies have mastered the basics, the Wolf’s Lair Triple provides more than 20 acres of some of the best terrain for intermediate boarders and skiers in the Rockies. A wide variety of features for all snowboarders’ abilities will be added as the snow flies to the 20 acres set aside for the terrain park.

 

The Howling Wolf Double chair is the mountain’s largest lift, reaching the most advanced trails including Barney’s Way, Dyer Straits and Cougar Canyon to name a few of Wolf Mountain’s Black Diamond trails. Wolf Mountain also boasts the best slopes in Utah for night skiing with the entire mountain lit up each evening.

 

The resort is known for its exceptionally reasonable prices and rustic, intimate feel where parents can drop off their teenagers on the weekend or after school, and feel comfortable about their safety. Wolf Mountain is also the perfect place for families to enjoy an outing together at affordable prices.

The food and amenities at our charming lodge are also very simple and well within families’ budgets.”

 

Lift tickets are very friendly to the pocket book, with adults ranging from $20 to $35 for 12 hours on the mountain. A child’s day pass ranges from $14 to $22. Holiday pricing is only $2 more per ticket.

 

Wolf Mountain season passes are some of the lowest priced in the industry: Family passes include two adults and two children for only $798, and additional children are $110 each. Individual adult passes are $358, and student passes are $195 for full-time students (K- grad school).

 

Wolf Mountain also offers the Wolf Pup Children’s Lesson Program for kids aged three to seven. Half-day lessons are only $75 and a full day is $140, which includes an all-day pass, ski rental, lessons with indoor play and food. Regular group lessons are available for children ages eight and up. These lessons are for either skiing or boarding and the package includes lift, lesson and rental for only $65. There are after-school and private lessons as well.
