About the Bands: Cris Jacobs Whether alone with just the guitar and his voice or surrounded by a full band, Cris Jacobs enchants listeners with his inspired, poignant songwriting, virtuous guitar playing, and soulfully transcendent voice. Artists across the board have discovered Jacobs’ musicianship and supple versatility, resulting in an impressive variety of formats in which he has played over the last few years. Cris Jacobs continues to nurture a devoted audience that knows that whatever the instrumentation or setting he plays, it will be richly authentic, and conveyed with an improviser’s curious spirit and palpable presence. We can only expect further evolution from Jacobs, an artist constantly inspired by the search for “those beautiful, sad, inspiring, heartbreaking magical corners of life. The most rewarding, and terrifying part of trying to be an artist is the journey itself, the vulnerability and riskiness in seeking them out trying to express them. Sometimes you hit dead ends, and sometimes you strike pure gold.” http://www.crisjacobs.com/ --- The Drunken Hearts From their humble inception as an acoustic trio, The Drunken Hearts have grown into an electric five-piece that is captivating audiences across the country. In those few years, the Colorado-based group has managed to make a name for itself in a state that is known for producing and cultivating world-class music. The band fearlessly bottles a tempestuous, yet honest brand of American music — infusing spirited vocals with electric and acoustic instruments, and crafting thoughtful songs that are resonating with crowds everywhere. “...An electrifying force of Americana music." https://www.thedrunkenhearts.com/ --- Michelle Moonshine With original songs rooted in her Honky Tonk heroes of the past and tone reminiscent of a young Emmylou Harris, Michelle, and company (John Davis / Electric Guitar, Vocals, Harmonica & Bronk Onion / Upright bass, Vocals) delivers a performance that feels both raw yet refined. With recruitments from both NBC's 'The Voice' and 'America's Got Talent' in the last two years as well as placing in a national song competition for two tracks from her first studio release, independent artist Michelle Moonshine has honed her craft in producing her own blend of Country driven Americana. With upbeat tempos, catchy vocal lines and heartfelt lyrics; it's still her unique voice that truly engages a listener at a performance. Her timbre can be described as incredibly sweet and whimsical, yet saturated with feeling that draws you in to listening for every word. Since enlisting a group of talented musicians to serve as her backing band in 2015, they've developed a dynamic together which is both a treat to listen to and watch. Michelle traded bright lights for staying in dirty motels, and a chance to serve the song with her band. While planning their first full album release and a heavy touring schedule, they continue to showcase their music regionally with lush harmony and ample twang. http://michellemoonshine.com/
