Start with members of three of the top bands to come out of New Orleans, The Neville Brothers, The Radiators, and The Dirty Dozen - then add a saxophonist who was James Brown's horn director for 12 years, and a keyboard player with extraordinary talent and you have The New Orleans Suspects. With well over a century of touring experience combined, this is a real band with genuine musicianship and more seasoning than any of New Orleans' greatest dishes. They have been making an enormous impact with their live performances across the country, and have established themselves as one of the brightest new lights out of the Crescent City. Funky drumbeats, greasy wailing saxophones, razor-sharp guitar playing, rollicking piano, and swampy organ swells, strutting bass lines and tight vocal harmonies make this band stand above the rest. Just as the wind shifts over the Mississippi River, so does the music the band creates - strains of Dr John and the Nevilles, The Meters and Allan Toussaint, brass bands and piano legends, hot nights and sweat-soaked streets, all combine in an original way to create what is now known as The New Orleans Suspects. "...a wildly infectious sound that pays tribute to everyone from James Booker and Bobby Charles, to The Meters and Galactic." - Marquee Magazine, Denver, CO "This is uplifting, feel-good party music and if you can’t get happy at this show then you really are having a terrible day." - Rock Chicago Magazine, Chicago, IL "There are groups with a pedigree, and then there are the New Orleans Suspects. The resulting music... is the best of both worlds: a mixture of classic New Orleans second-line grooves and fresh new musical directions." - The Herald-Journal, Greenville, SC http://www.neworleanssuspects.com --- Emma Mayes & The Hip Emma Mayes & The HIp, The Hip standing for "Highly Important People", is a conglomerate of Denver musicians that bring together their ideas into an interesting fusion mixed with lush vocal harmonies, catchy horn lines, and danceable melodies. They compare their sound similar to the likes of Erykah Badu, Hiatus Kaiyote, & Jill Scott while being more big band sound oriented. The Hip was was nominated for "Best Soul Band" two years in a row and has played with acts such as Ripe, Moon Taxi, Con Brio, Joe Hertler & The Rainbow Seekers and has played at venues such as Bluebird Theater, Belly Up, Cervantes, and City Park Jazz. --- SuperBubble SuperBubble is an ever-expanding funk collective from Salt Lake City, Utah. Driving a fat beat, a solid groove, and a great sense of jam, they turn a room into an unapologetically funky dance party. Formed in 2016, they became a quick favorite within the festival circuit and a staple of the local music scene. In May of 2017 SuperBubble released their first self-titled EP, which received positive and enthusiastic reviews. S.L.U.G Magazine wrote, “SuperBubble are one of the biggest surprises I have encountered this year, with one of the most solid debuts I’ve heard out of the Salt Lake scene. This album is a fleshed funk fest of jam, jive and jazz, with a couple of the strongest instrumental tracks I’ve heard for years.” In 2018, they embarked on their first tour of Europe, playing shows all over the Netherlands and France while on their way to the ÉCU Film Festival in Paris. They kicked off 2019 by performing a New Years Eve Bash with Orgōne, and later releasing their debut full-length album “Space Bound” in March. With building momentum and a loyal growing fan base, look out for SuperBubble popping off at a party near you. https://superbubbleband.com
