About Branson Anderson:
Branson Anderson is an Ogden, Utah based singer-songwriter influenced by a wide array of artists reaching back to the 1920's to the present. Originally from Logandale, Nevada, he started writing while still a teen. Influenced by greats like Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, Jack White, Robert Johnson (first blues musician I was into) he holds a humble reverence for the roots of Americana music. You'll hear it in his songs and see it during live performances where he tries to channel the spirits of yesteryear while bringing his own unique approach to his roots music. While still in high school, Branson (overwhelmed by the romance of the traveling musician) ran away from home to catch a bus to Nashville. Two and a half days later he arrived with the only plan being to go to Third Man Records and meet Jack White. He didn't realize his dream that day and 15 hours later was on a bus back home, but traveling got in his blood on that trip. Now he pack his guitar with him everywhere playing gigs and hoping to run into one of his idols. Though he has been in several Country, Bluegrass and rock bands, and feels completely comfortable playing with others, Branson now lives the troubadour life of traveling and playing solo. He has toured through the US and also parts of Europe where he fell in love with the Netherlands. With more people finding out about him and his music, he will be on the road much more, so keep an eye out in your hometown.
"Branson Anderson is one of my absolute favorite Utah artists" - Sammy Brue, recording artist with new west records
