Tour of Utah: Queen Stage

undefined
Snowbird is proud to host the Queen Stage of the 2016 Tour of Utah. Just like the road to Alpe-d’Huez in the Tour de France, Little Cottonwood Canyon will challenge the competitors with close to 3,000 feet of elevation gain over a six-mile climb with 8-12% gradients. Deemed "America's Toughest Stage Race," the Larry H. Miller Tour of Utah is a weeklong, professional stage race for the best cycling teams in the world. This is the fifth year the tour has been sanctioned by the international governing body of cycling, the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI), and the first year the Utah race has been elevated to its highest classification on the UCI America Tour. As a 2.HC-rated stage race, the Tour of Utah joins the Amgen Tour of California and USA Pro Challenge as the only events on the UCI America Tour with this top designation. The top rating by the UCI permits the Tour of Utah to invite more ProTeams. A total of 16 professional teams, including six from the Tour de France, competed in 2014, bringing 122 athletes from 24 countries. The event is free for all spectators.
