Alta Ski Area to Open Friday, December 2 at 9:15 am

November 2016. (Alta, UT)--- Alta Ski Area will open for the 2016/2017 season Friday at 9:15 am. Check out our current conditions.

We plan to run Collins, Wildcat, Sugarloaf and Sunnyside lifts. Lift ticket prices are as follows (through Thursday, December 8):

Alta Day – Adult                      $88 at the ticket window

                                              $85 reload price at the ticket window

Alta Day – Child 12 & under   $45 at the ticket window

                                            $42 reload price at the ticket window                       

On Friday, December 9, we will open Cecret & Supreme lifts and go to our traditional pricing on alta.com. 

For our skiers, the Albion Grill and Alta Java will be open with a full menu, Watson Shelter will be open for with Baldy Brews and the Watson Café. (Collins Grill will open on Friday, December 9.  Alf’s will be open with soups, sandwiches and grab and go snacks. Their full menu will be offered starting December 9.

Retail and rental will be available through the Alta Ski Shop’s Wildcat Base location; retail will be open at the Alta Ski Shop locations at Watson Shelter and Alf’s. Alta Sports, Motherlode and Deep Powder House will also be open for retail and rentals. 

The Alf Engen Ski School  will have all its products available apart from the Afternoon Workshops. They plan to start the workshops in mid-December.
