BIKE, HIKE, RIDE AND MORE WHEN SPRING ADVENTURE+GEAR FEST RETURNS TO SANDY, UTAH

PARK CITY, Utah (March 29, 2016) — Better clear some room on your calendar. 

The 2016 Adventure+Gear Fest, Utah’s largest public mountain and outdoor recreation festival, is bringing not only thousands of the newest products of the season to Sandy for two jam-packed days this spring, but it’s also offering more than a dozen events and experiences featuring top experts, industry insiders and celebrities. 

The festival is Friday and Saturday, April 8 and 9, from noon to 9 p.m. the first day and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. the second. Tickets cost $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 6 to 13. 

Group packages for families of four and five are also available. 

“If you’ve been wanting to try out a new bike on a demo mountain-biking track, scope out some new longboards, watch the latest Wasatch Film Festival, take on your latest trail run, or try a 24-hour Questival adventure race, this is totally the right place to be,” said Landon John co-producer of the event. “There’s no better way to kick off Utah’s amazing spring and summer seasons. 

The Questival adventure race is a new addition this year. Form a team of two to six people, then use your wits – and a solid pair of sneakers – in a 24 hour challenge based adventure race to win free trips, gear and more. Each competitor will receive a Cotopaxi Luzon backpack and race swag. Tickets cost $36 for adults and $15 for kids, but prices go up March 25. 

The Wasatch Film Festival also makes its return. The 10-day festival will showcase more films than ever before, each celebrating the outdoors and wider world. Tickets cost $15 per day; a pass for the entire festival costs $142.34. Each Film Fest ticket also includes entry to the Adventure+Gear Fest. 

“The Questival is just such a blast, and the footage in some of these films at the Wasatch Film Festival is just incredible,” John said. “You’re not going to want to miss it.” 

Other events include the Voodoo Slackline Experience; 5k, 10k and 10-mile trail runs; multiple indoor climbing walls; adventure vehicles; food trucks; gear and trip raffles and giveaways. And deals on outdoor gear you can’t find anywhere else.
