HIGH WEST CELEBRATES GRAND OPENING

PARK CITY, Utah (September 3, 2015) — There’s a new home for the best whiskey in the West!

High West Distillery is celebrating the grand opening of its new 30,000-square-foot world-class western whiskey distillery and visitor center on Blue Sky Ranch just outside Park City in Wanship, Utah. The facility officially opens to the public on Wednesday September 9^th.

On Monday, Sept. 7 from 1 to 5 p.m., immediately after Park City’s traditional Miner’s Day Parade, High West’s award-winning chefs, will be serving a western country barbecued pig-roast and of course plenty of High West signature cocktails, beer and wine.  Live music will keep the party going, and entertainment will be on hand for the whole family, from face-painting to horseshoes, cornhole and other activities. High West also plans to seal up a very special time capsule of High West’s single malt whiskey distilled in its new 1500-gallon copper pot still manufactured in Scotland.

To celebrate, High West is releasing a very limited 16-year-old Rocky Mountain Rye, available only at the Blue Sky location, will be on sale for $124.99.

“After 4 years of planning, we thought Miner’s Day was perfect for officially opening to the public,” High West proprietor David Perkins said.  “We’re very excited to share this phenomenal space and beautiful setting with whiskey lovers, and of course, our delicious whiskey and food.”

High West Distillery at Blue Sky Ranch will officially open to the public Wednesday, Sept. 9. Hours are 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday.  Guests can enjoy food and libations.  Educational tours and tastings will be offered at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. and reservations are strongly encouraged.  The distillery will also be available for private functions after-hours.

Production at the facility started in December.
