PARK CITY, Utah (June 1, 2016) — Time to break out the hiking shoes, load your bikes and make room in the wine rack – the Park City Food & Wine Classic returns for its 12th season this summer. 

 

From July 7-10, enjoy an impressive schedule of events featuring amazing food- and wine-tastings, educational seminars, lifestyle experiences and more. Rated one of the top food and wine festivals in the country by USA Today’s Readers Choice, the event brings together more than 600 artisans, including world-renowned chefs, sommeliers, vintners, brewers, distillers and local producers.

 

More than 25 events will be on the menu this year, with a portion of all proceeds once again going to the People’s Health Clinic, a nonprofit providing healthcare for uninsured individuals and families in Utah’s Summit and Wasatch counties.

Montage to Moab- Thursday, July 7, 2016

Montage and Moab (Arches & Moab) |6:00am-4:00pm | $7,500

Bike and hike in this exclusive guided experience through some of Southern Utah’s most stunning landscapes. Up to seven guests will have the opportunity to enjoy a private, personalized day-trip to the iconic red rock vistas of Arches National Park and Moab/Canyonlands. The adventure includes a luxurious private charter plane, gourmet picnic lunch and personal Montage tour guide.  

 

SUP ‘n’ Suds- Thursday, July 7, 2016 or Friday, July 8, 2016

Deer Valley |11:00am-1:30pm|$95

Grab a board and hit the water to experience the fastest growing paddle sport in the world. Standup paddleboarding, or SUP, offers a phenomenal, active opportunity to take in the gorgeous mountain views and crystal blue waters of Deer Valley Lake. Back by popular demand, Park City SUP owner and pro Trent Hickman will lead the seminar. Whether you’re a novice or looking to hone your SUP skills, Trent and his team will take you on an hour-long tour. There will also be a variety of boards and gear to demo. After working up an appetite, enjoy a delectable lunch, compliments of Deer Valley, paired with local craft brews from Wasatch Brewery.

 

Fat Tires & Phat Wines- Friday, July 8, 2016

Stein Eriksen Lodge, Deer Valley | 10:00am-1:00pm | $95

Raise a glass and cheer this Classic favorite at Deer Valley Resort, combining a love for mountain biking with food and wine. Executive chef and fellow cyclist Zane Holmquist of Stein Eriksen Lodge leads a scenic ride through the beautiful panoramic single tracks that make Park City a world-class mountain biking destination. After dismounting and shedding the mud, Chef Zane will prepare a sumptuous lunch on the deck at Stein’s overlooking Deer Valley. Winemakers and avid cyclists Whitney Fisher and Nile Zacherle will be on hand, as will their creations for Fisher Vineyards, Zacherle Wines, and David Arthur Vineyards.

 

This is an intermediate/advanced level ride; previous mountain biking experience is highly recommended.

 

Hike & Hops- Friday, July 8, 2016

Apex at Montage Deer Valley | 10:00am-1:00pm | $95

Grab your hiking boots and hit the trails with this energizing trek, offering gorgeous mountain views of Deer Valley. Guided by outdoor ambassadors from Montage Deer Valley, this hike begins at the top of Guardsman Pass, following a magnificently scenic route through the trails of Wasatch Crest to the backdoor of Montage Deer Valley. Enjoy a delicious barbeque lunch on Montage’s scenic Apex Terrace, paired with frosty samples of beers, compliments of Montage executive chef Shawn Armstrong and Stella Artois – a refreshing end a great day on the trails.

 

F&W Luncheon with Silver Oak

Relish in delicious pairings focused on Napa wines in this delectable luncheon. Join Lindsay Hayes of Silver Oak and Twomey Cellars in this exceptional food and wine experience. The wines will be expertly paired with the delightful cuisine from St. Regis Deer Valley executive chef Chip McMullin. Courses and wines subject to change, but only for the better.

 

Moonshine in the Mountains Luncheon- July 8, 2016

New High West Distillery at Blue Sky Ranch | 12:00pm-2:00pm | $95

When it comes to pairings, why does wine get to have all the fun? Everything goes well with whiskey, especially from High West. Single malts, bouryes, bourbons, and rye whiskies offer an interesting range of tastes and aromas, which can be just as varied as wine. Sensational small plates provided by the culinary team at High West will be matched perfectly with diverse whiskeys, giving you a greater appreciation of food pairings. Join head distiller and High West proprietor David Perkins at the new distillery location at Blue Sky Ranch. After the luncheon, enjoy a VIP tour of High West’s new state of the art whiskey facility.

 

Gott & Gears- Saturday, July 9, 2016

St. Regis Deer Valley | 10:00am-1:00pm | $95

Jump on and clip-in for this unique event that combines two of Park City’s best world-class activities: biking and dining. Led by mountain bike enthusiast Joel Gott and St. Regis Deer Valley executive chef Chip McMullin, embark on a journey through Park City and Deer Valley’s premier single-track terrain. Two rides will be on offer: expert-level terrain on Bald Mountain or intermediate-level terrain on Silver Lake. After the bike ride, dig into a showcased lunch from Chef Chip at the J&G Grill, complemented with Joel Gott and his wines. 

 

Reds, Ryes and Ramble- Saturday, July 9, 2016

Start your day with breathtaking views of Park City and beyond as you venture out with High West ambassadors on a rewarding and revitalizing hike. This trek will take you through the scenery of beautiful aspen forests as you learn about the scenic trails Park City has to offer. Drink Big Italy! Luncheon- Saturday, July 9, 2016

Attention Italian-wine lovers! Advanced sommelier William Davis will share sensational small plates in a variety of preparations, each expertly paired with Italian wines. The Nelson Cottage by High West captures the flavor of the West in its beautiful architectural design and artfully crafted cuisine. Enjoy a six-course pre-fixe dinner, with a menu of the chef’s choosing in a communal dining setting. Clay & Cabernets- Sunday, July 10, 2016

Lock, stock and barrel: Blue Sky Ranch leads a western-inspired mountain adventure at its multi-station clay shooting course. Never fired a gun? No worries. An experienced range master will provide instruction and show you how it’s done in a safe and fun fashion. Whether you’re a novice or an expert marksman, there is no better setting than Blue Sky Ranch’s backcountry for a shooting experience. Each station on the course has a pavilion where Blue Sky chef Collin Blakeman will serve delectable food samples along the way. The adventure will end at the Yurt with light fare and some fabulous wines serving more than just cabernets.

Join an invigorating outdoor yoga session on the beautiful Grand Lawn at Montage Deer Valley.
