More Adventures

While the most popular winter activity on a ski vacation is skiing (or snowboarding), there are so many ways to have fun in Utah's powder. In fact, the list of alternative outdoor activities is long and well worth staying an extra day to enjoy. Visitors can speed through the backcountry on a snowmobile; cross-country ski on groomed track or through pristine backcountry; treat the kids to a day of lift-assisted snow tubing; embark on a heart-pumping snowshoe tour; find your roots at the Genealogy Library or get cozy on an evening sleigh ride. Whatever you choose, you won't be disappointed.

For those with a desire to take their adventure meter to a higher level, Utah offers helicopter and snowcat off-piste skiing and snowboarding, as well as a wide variety of guided and unguided snowmobiling adventures with spectacular scenery in the Wasatch and Uinta mountains backcountry. Or, stay on the slopes but off the skis and take a ride Tubing down a variety of lanes set up for a fun and fast alternative day on the snow. And, of course, Ski Utah's Interconnect Adventure Tour allows skiers the chance to ski up to six resorts in a single day.
