Discover The National Ability Center

I love meeting new friends on the mountain.

Rich and David are simply amazing guys and I felt honored to spend a few days out at PCMR with them, skiing groomed black Signature runs, getting guided around, and finally trying that Mid Mountain Burger I'd heard so much about (delicious!). In the time that they've known each other, they've become great friends, not only skiing together, but also water skiing and tandem mountain biking.

And David is blind.

David lost his sight saving a coworker. But he's not the only hero! Rich volunteering for the NAC is nothing short of wonderful too. While I was filming, numerous people stopped me and asked about them, from a woman telling me they were thrilling to watch, to a lift operator saying they're the two nicest guys on the hill. I'm inclined to agree!

Now is the perfect time for me to tell you about the National Ability Center: they're throwing a party this weekend!

What better way to exercise your giving muscles? Well, if you can't make it this weekend, consider volunteering! Or donating!

From their website:

The National Ability Center is committed to the development of lifetime skills for people of all ages and abilities by providing affordable outdoor sports and recreational experiences in a nurturing environment.

Founded in 1985, the National Ability Center is a 501(c)3 non-profit, tax-exempt organization. Programs are supported through special events, grants from private corporations and foundations, individual donations and program fees. All activities are offered at an affordable rate and scholarships are available, ensuring participation for all applicants.
