With over 40 inches of new snow in the past week, my friend Jess didn't have to pull my arm too hard to get me to ski on Halloween Day. Hiking up the runs of Alta to make your first turns of the season is a local Utahan tradition. However, as I expected to see many hardcore dudes huffing and puffing their way up the mountain, I had no idea so many girls would be up there getting after it as well.
What's better than skiing pow in October? Skiing pow with girls!
