Beers, BBQ and half a foot of new snow at Snowbird

So yes, I know I've become pretty redundant with all these posts about the incredible spring snow we've had here in Utah but I'm sorry, I just can't help myself. Snowfall of this magnitude, only two days away from the Summer solstice is just remarkable. After todays 6 - 9" snowfall, Snowbird easily eclipsed the 780" mark for the season and unofficially, I would have to assume the mid mountain snow study plot at Alta's Collins chairlift has to be very close to surpassing 800" for the season. Insane!

Life really couldn't get any better for skiers here in Utah. Yesterday, I was enjoying beers on the plaza at the Snowbird Brewfest with a great crew of people. Cat the Powderhound, Nick the marketing director from Solitude and Kevin, videographer and producer for Park City TV were all in attendance.  We all spent the afternoon sampling some of Utah's best beers in flops, while soaking up that warm June sunshine. Who would have thought today we'd be skiing untracked powder all over the hill. I guess this sort of thing only happens in Utah, right?
