Hey everyone, this is Matt’s girlfriend, Kim. I've hijacked his blog to give you all a sneak peek of Utah’s newest camping experience… we like to call it, Glamping.

I work for ABC 4 Utah, and this weekend, the ladies of the station decided to do some team building. What better way to do that, than spending some time in the great outdoors! But once the sun goes down, some girls want a shower, and a fan, and a big fluffy bed… we found all of that, and then some at Summit Mountain Lodge & Resort in Brian Head, Utah.

This brand new resort is a fully functional yurt village and lodge, right next to Dixie National Forest. Not only are the accommodations amazing, they came complete with all the outdoor activities any nature lover could want. We had a choice of archery, zip lines, a rock wall, hot tub or ATV’s. We, of course, picked the off-road machines!

We started our trek at the resort, and rode all the way out to Cedar Breaks National Monument. We drove from one side of the scenic overview to the other, and then out to the top of Brian Head resort. The views were breathtaking, and the ATV’s were a blast!

We got back, showered (yeah, we had a fully functional bathroom) and began roasting marshmallow fluff covered strawberries (Thanks, Pinterest!) We wrapped up the evening with a steak dinner and a card game.

Seriously, check out the pictures from this weekend and try to tell me you’re not impressed… cause I can tell you, we were! We're already planning our winter trip.. yep, they have winter glamping too! With snowmobiling, snow shoeing, cross country skiing and more... we may have to be there longer than a day!
