This was by far the best day I've had at Park City Mountain Resort all season long. Kind of strange that it happened in April, but that's what spring storms will do. They are super hard to forecast because they can often hold far more moisture than midwinter storms. Either way 15" of new snow in 15 hours, I'll take it! It would also appear that people are over skiing. Now that the snow has started to melt in the valley, lift lines were non existent. The Powder Panic of mid-winter is gone, now you just need to make sure you’re legs are in good shape so you can ski bell to bell like we did on Monday.
Here is what things looked like the day after the storm. Mind you this was found on north-facing slopes out of bounds of Canyons Resort.
OH YEAH! I forgot to mention, more SNOW in the forecast! Check it out!
