Snow on the horizon

So, October 2009 was a pretty snowy one for the Wasatch, I think I got five legitimate powder days in, two in the beginning of the month and three at the end (granted I had to hike). Little Cottonwood Canyon looked something like this.Snowbird (alta-october-6-023)Alta Baldy (alta-october-6-008)  Alta (alta-october-6-015)

With all this warm weather lately I was thinking we may have to wait until November to make our first turns. But, it looks like the weather is changing and for the better if you ask me. According to the National Weather Service we should be on the look out for two storms this weekend. One on Saturday that may put down just a little snow up high but then Sunday night a bigger storm that has the potential to drop 2 feet of snow, with snow down to 6000 ft.   Hopefully next Monday I can report back with some pow shots from the LCC!
