The Blizzard of 2010 - Terrain Openings - Another Alta Powder Day

related_thumbnail

It just keeps getting better. I apologize if I sound repetitive but it just keeps dumping in Utah. At the present time, almost the entire state is under a Blizzard Warning! I haven't seen the National Weather Service in Salt Lake City issue a blizzard warning in the 5 years I've lived here. Wondering what the conditions look like out there, well this is what Alta looked like yesterday. Just awesome!

I've also gotten the inside scoop from some of the resorts on their expectations on getting additional terrain open. Park City Mountain Resort is telling people to check their facebook page Wednesday for an update, but I know their snow safety teams have been up in the McConkey area. Trust me I heard the bombs going off early this morning.
Solitude has gotten all of their lifts up and running but the Honeycomb chair, but I've been assured that the Solitude Ski Patrol was taking care of business in Honeycomb Canyon Monday.
The word from Brighton; if all goes as planned, Great Western will open tomorrow and Milly on Wednesday or Thursday. Happy Thanksgiving everybody!
