Spend a day at Canyons Resort and you may notice the color orange, just about everywhere.  From the welcome sign to life-size Christmas ornaments to the Orange Bubble Express, Canyons Resort has boldly wrapped the resort orange.  According to color expert, Kate Smith, orange is a bold color that “elicits” stronger responses than any other hue.  Canyons boldly caught the ski worlds’ attention by investing more money in the last two years than any resort in the country.  This investment permeates with each stroke of orange.  Before even arriving at the resort, you can’t help but notice the orange Bubble chairlift which glimmers like a strand of lights strung on a festive tree.
Once you hit the snow, you pass through the beach, now the epicenter of the resort, where a casually good time awaits in orange beach chairs while of course, there is an orange life-guard chair perched for duty.  The beach meets the Orange Bubble Express which is the most comfortable chairlift ever.  Leather heated seats and an orange bubble keep you warm and dry to the top.  Of course, while on the slopes, orange trail signs guide skiers in orange goggles to the mile long Transitions Terrain Park that boasts an orange cannon and naturally a box feature that slides to the top of an old VW car.  Can you guess the color of the car?  This weekend, Canyons hosts the Rome SDS Pre Jib contest where orange features are not guaranteed, however, Zack a terrain park employee flashed his style with an orange hat.

Fortunately through all of this the snow is still white, with over 4,000 acres of shreddable terrain.  If the orange beach chairs don’t suck you in at the end of the day, head over to the Alpine House for their signature “Orange” drink.  You might even be treated like a celebrity if boldly wearing orange pants at this excitingly, fresh resort.  Cheers to a season of orange, you can't help but take notice.
