Believe it or not, winter is around the corner. And, now is the time to start your preseason cross training and take advantage of the best deals on passes and equipment.
The Ski Utah Yeti invites all snow enthusiasts to race to winter in the First Ever Yeti Pass Skootch’n Dash Saturday, September 3 at the Downtown Farmers Market. Participants may choose to enter a short ski boot course run (approximately 1K) or the 50-meter snowboard skootch. The fastest racers in each division will win fabulous prizes including Rossignol skis or snowboard, Smith Optics and other Ski Utah swag. A special award for the best costume will be awarded a Ski Utah Yeti Pass good for one day of skiing at every Utah resort during the 2011-12 season.
Registration to participate is five-dollars per person per race. Space is limited and athletes are encouraged to pre-register by clicking here. Cash will only be accepted for same day registrants and 50 percent of profits earned will be donated to the Utah Avalanche Center.

What is a snowboard
skootch?
The snowboard skootch is a commonly practiced technique used
by snowboarders to traverse flat surfaces by hopping with both boots strapped

What types of ski
boots are allowed?
Plastic alpine ski boots only will be allowed for
participation in the ski boot run. Your grandfather’s leather ski boots do not
qualify. Specialized backcountry, Nordic, snowboard or other boots will result
in immediate disqualification.
Will equipment be
provided?
Yes, Ski'N See will provide some ski boots for participants in need of equipment. Supplies will be limited.
Who can enter?
Anyone can enter! Young and old, human and yeti; come on out
and show us what you’ve got.
How will costumes
be judged?
Creativity and connection to The Greatest Snow on Earth® are
encouraged to achieve prize-winning racing attire.
