Snowbird Sets Sights on 202-Day Season

related_thumbnail

A Snowbird is the moniker for one who flies south in search of the sun.  Throwing this migration upside down, Snowbird Ski and Summer resort offers up snowriding well into Utah’s summer.  This would mark only the THIRD time in the resort’s 40 year history to close the ski season as late as July 4th.  This is more exciting than a sparkler or illegal firework as the quality of the skiing is super.  Snowbird is not limping across the finish line or trying to fire up the PR engine, the snow depth remains at 175‘‘ or 15 feet.  Enjoy the novelty of carving a turn this time of year on snow that is legitimately, well. . . .legit.

See you at the bird, here is the lift riding schedule:
Snowbird resort will remain open for skiing and riding on weekends (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday and the Fourth of July) from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m., so long as conditions and weather permit. Conditions will be re-evaluated continuously, with updates on snowbird.com. Tickets will be sold at the reduced rate of $64.

Don't be shy, please share any photos of you skiing late into the season, whether it be this season or back in the day.
