The low side of learning

Posted by The Ski Utah Yeti on January 20, 2012

It’s important to me that you know that my learning to ski experience was not all ribbons and roses… at all. At my fifth lesson, I hit my skiing low. I was doing really well on the bunny slope. Too well, I guess. So my instructor asked if I wanted to take on something a little more challenging.

Don't Forget About Fall

Posted by The Ski Utah Yeti on September 20, 2011

It is true that winter is knocking on the door with the arrival of the year’s first snow last weekend. However, rest assured that now is the best time of year to log a few more smooth single track miles or bank a few more park turns on a mountain bike.

Summer at Canyons and Utah resorts!

Posted by Jodi Saeland on August 1, 2011

OK, this is a ski blog...but I'm going to say I LOVE summer in the Wasatch. The smells, the flowers, the hiking, the moose. Yes, lots of wildlife spotting here. And...the crowds are down. I'm just going to come out and say it...I love hiking and I'm a much better hiker than skier. I take pride in the 4-10 mile hikes I can do and still be standing at the end. With that said...my kids have become (or are forced) to be great hikers as well.

Posted by The Ski Utah Yeti on June 27, 2011

Utah's resorts have plenty of reason to brag in the summer. Hop on your mountain bike and you will see why.
