Access
As your plane makes the final approach, it becomes obvious: to describe Salt Lake City’s proximity to the mountains as close is an understatement. Yes, those snowy peaks you see outside the window as you taxi to the terminal are indeed the ones you’ll be skiing or riding. Eleven resorts are just an hour’s drive from the airport. And when we say an hour, we mean 60 minutes. Not the 100-plus miles of clogged freeway between the airport and mountains elsewhere. What’s more is that you can take off from either coast in the morning and be carving up Utah’s famous powder snow by afternoon. Direct flights from more than 80 U.S. cities arrive here every day.
