Wasatch Wildflower Festival at Snowbird Resort
Sun Jul 29 2012

To be announced

The festivities started quite some time ago when a few crazy Alta locals decided they needed an excuse to have a block party during the summer flower season. Years later, these efforts were organized and the Wasatch Wildflower Festival was born. The Wasatch Wildflower Festival is a now collaboration between the non-profits Alta Community Enrichment, The Cottonwood Canyons Foundation and The Snowbird Renaissance Center. It is also supported through the efforts of Alta Ski Area, Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort, Solitude Ski Area, Brighton Ski Area and The U.S. Forest Service.

The Festival's goal and mission is to provide a fun and encouraging environment for people to learn about the wide diversity of wildflowers that are found in the Wasatch Mountains and to not only celebrate the wildflowers, but show people how to take care of them.

As a result, the festival organizers aim to carry on "A Celebration of the Wasatch Mountains and the diversity of its ecosystem!"
