---------BEERS--------------------------

inspired brewers are continually creating small batches of
fresh beer at the Squatters Downtown Pub Brewery. These
hand crafted beers may include the return of popular
favorites such as Hop Rising, Acapulco Gold, or Cherry Luv,
while other brewmaster specials could highlight the debut of
a new creation from Jenny and Jason. Ask your server what
hand-crafted specialties are on tap today.

NITRO BEERS: The low CO2 levels in our nitro beers create a
smooth texture, creamy thick head and full flavor.

CASK ALES: Our cask ales are pulled from a “beer engine”
through a sparkler head which produces a rich creamy head.
Cask ales feature lower CO2, slightly warmer serving
temperature and extra hopping for aroma.

---------THE STORY--------------------

Peter Cole and Jeff Polychronis, co-owners of Salt Lake Brewing Company, have followed the rise of American brew pubs since the trend began in 1984.

Friends and business associates since the late 1970's when both worked in real estate in Park City, the pair undertook a yearlong crawl, visiting more than 40 brew pubs throughout the West.

With a swill and a swallow and after many nights of great appreciation of good beer, they decided it was time that Salt Lake City had a microbrewery of its own.

In January 2004 Salt Lake Brewing Co. became a Salt Lake City e2 Business and was awarded environmental company of the year by the Recycling Coalition of Utah. We are committed to decision making that generates economical, social and environmental value, today these actions include:

• Reducing our power needs and purchasing renewable, non-polluting energy
• Closing the recycling loop by purchasing products produced from post-consumer recycled materials
• Purchasing goods that are environmentally friendly, sending less waste to our landfills
• Participating in recycling programs
• Purchasing goods and services from locally owned, environmental and socially committed companies
• A dedicated internal and external community development commitment
• Utilized reclaimed materials in the restaurant buildout
