The Sundance Summer Theatre presents the renowned musical, “Seven Brides for Seven Brothers” in partnership with Utah Valley University, on the Eccles Outdoor Stage at Sundance Resort, July 23th-August 18th.

“Seven Brides for Seven Brothers” first received national acclaim as a film in 1954 when it received an Oscar nomination for Best Picture. Later it was reincarnated as a Broadway musical in 1982 and again in 2007. The play has had numerous theatrical productions throughout the world and is known for its rip roaring musical numbers and tender-hearted romance.

The play, which will be directed by Christopher Clark, revolves around an Oregon back woodsman, named Adam. When Adam takes his new bride Milly home, she realizes that he’s one of seven brothers living under one roof. Milly swings into action to get the brothers married off, but first she’s got to teach them some manners…and how to dance. At a local barn raising they meet six girls, but the girls all have suitors, so now the brothers have to win the girls’ hearts from their rivals. The brothers will stop at nothing to win their sweethearts’ affection and the result is new love times seven.

Each year the success of the Sundance Summer Theatre has grown since its return to Sundance in 2008. Last year, “The Sound of Music” sold out all 14 performances. This year promises to be just as big with yet another musical with a beautiful setting that lends itself perfectly to the Outdoor Summer Theatre. We are happy to continue our partnership with Utah Valley University to bring this production to the Sundance Summer Theatre for what promises to be another great year.

The production will appear against the backdrop of Mt. Timpanogos, beginning on July 23rd and ending with a final performance on August 18th; performances will be held each Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights over these dates.

Bench general admission tickets are $23.

Lawn general admission tickets are $20.

All sales are final and tickets are non-refundable.

Rain Out Policy

All events are rain or shine.  If weather conditions make it unsafe for the performance to begin at the scheduled start time, Sundance Resort will hold the performance for 20 minutes.  The conditions at that time will be evaluated and a decision will be made whether to continue with the event.   If a performance is canceled at the start of the show or before intermission, guests will be able to rain check their tickets for another performance this season by calling the Sundance Box Office.  If a performance is canceled after intermission, there will be no rain checks or refunds.
