Night Skiing: Sundance Resort Leaves the Lights On

Leave a light on we said...Sundance said, “Okay!”

Night skiing is a fun and affordable change from the norm. It’s also romantic, making it an awesome way to spend Valentine’s Day or a date night…hint, hint. If you’re on a ski vacation, plan at least one evening on the slopes!

You could either ski all day into the night, or simply show up in the late afternoon and enjoy the sunset followed by an evening of fun. Just remember to bundle-up, pack clear lens goggles and perhaps some hot chocolate.

Here is the scoop on night skiing at Sundance Mountain Resort:

The majority of the front mountain open for night skiing during the winter season on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday nights. Some of the runs that are open include Top Gun, Montoya, Stampede, Maverick, and more. Also, new this year, the Terrain Park will be open on night skiing nights (conditions permitting). Night skiing times are as follows: Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday
4:30pm - 9:00pm

Closed for night skiing on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday nights.

If you’d like to up your skills while night skiing, Sundance also offers night ski lessons:

Adults and Children: Night Ski or Snowboard

Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday nights 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. *check-in at 4:30 p.m.

Children must be 6+ for skiing and 7+ for snowboarding.

Groups determined by age and ability level.

Night Wild Bunch Specialty Group (ages 4-5 ski, 5-6 snowboard)

Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday nights 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. *Check-in at 4:30 p.m.

Children ages 4-5 years old skiing, 5-6 years old snowboarding.

One instructor per two children.
