Hi, I am Emily, and I am very proud to be called an ambassador of the 5th grade passport program.

I've been part of my Mum's blog for many years, now it's my turn! As a 5th grader, I get a chance to use the 5th grade Passport and explore all of Utah's resorts!

Every 5th and 6th grader has the chance to participate in this wonderful program. The 5th graders get to have three days free at every wonderful resort in Utah. The 6th graders that participate are welcome to have one day free!! Any 5th or 6th grade student across the U.S. who is interested in shredding or skiing Utah's winter wonderland may apply. To apply for this joyful program, you must go to skiutah.com/passport and appy with your parents help. It costs $35 right when you apply. The 5th and 6th graders are very lucky to explore Utah's wonders.

What I plan to do with my amazing passport is to go to every one of the powdery slopes in Utah with my mum. I will be writing about my exiting journeys in my blogs. I am eager to visit Powder Mountain, because it has beautiful snow and less crowds. For the resorts I have loved, Snowbird is one of my favorites! My all time favorite run is, Black Forest. (especially on powder days!) The best time and place to be at Snowbird is at sunrise on the top of the Tram. You can see all into the valley and beyond!

The resorts I have been to are: Alta;I love the powder, Brighton; I enjoy the terrain park, Snowbird; I fancy the powder, Park City; the long, wide runs, Sundance; the beautiful views, Deer Valley; yummy food, Snowbasin; Olympic downhill runs, Brian Head; the slick tubing hill.

I love to ski because I just feel free from the worries I have and I love the wind in my face. I do not like the heat at all; so the winter cold is a vacation. I think the program is great for kids who get up to the mountains every weekend since they could walk, and for kids who are just trying out skis and boards. Skiing and boarding is so fun and great exercise: and a great way to keep healthy! For the kids who are just trying, go with an instructor, because they will help you keep it easy and have fun safely. It is OK if you are scared the first time, you will end up loving it! If you have been interested in skiing or boarding for a long time, now is your chance to explore every last slope! When you find your favorite resort maybe you could get a season pass there next year!

Everyone should try to get up to the mountains because it is wonderful exercise and loads of fun! :}
