If you're looking to raise your family with a love for skiing with cash to spare for a tasty lunch and hot chocolate at the end of the day, this post is for you. Utah boasts 15 ski resorts and we've found deals at each one to help you and your family get on the slopes!
But first, the Ski Utah Passport and Yeti Pass...
Ski Utah's 5th and 6th Passport Program: Fifth graders receive three days at each of Utah's 15 resorts and sixth graders receive one day at each of Utah's 15 resorts for a one-time processing fee of only $45. AND, it is open to ALL visitors, not just Utah residents. The program is completely digital but plan ahead as it can take up to 24 hours for approval. Apply here.
Yeti Pass: This is a limited quantity pass which allows you to ski one day at each of Utah's 15 resorts. It is a great idea to buy this to go along with your kiddos in the Passport Program. Another great reason to get this; if you've wanted to buy a season pass at a resort but aren't quite sure which one, it gives you a chance to give them all a try before making a big commitment.
Alta's Ski At Three program delivers an affordable afternoon of skiing for beginner skiers at just $15 daily. A Ski After Three Season Pass is available at $39 (online only). Enjoy access to Alta's beginner terrain on the Sunnyside and Albion chairs, as well as the Transfer Tow. This program runs daily from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m.
Additionally, children 6 and under get a FREE unlimited season ski pass when purchasing a family pass and only $25 with the purchase of one adult season pass.
Small and unique in northern Utah, kids five and under ski FREE with the purchase of an adult season pass. There are also discounts at many local businesses when showing your season pass. Additionally, the Learn to Turn program rewards new skiers and riders with a "Little Beaver" season pass after a series of three lessons! Enjoy the magic carpet all day for only $15 or get a Little Beaver all-day pass for only $25.
Located in Southern Utah, it is just as close to Las Vegas as Salt Lake City. So if visiting in Vegas, pop up to Brian Head for a couple of days and enjoy the slopes and scenery. Plus, Brian Head University has a deal you can't pass up. Purchase a three lesson program for first-timers, once they complete the program, participants receive a free season pass for the remainder of the season and 50% off the following year and 25% off the third year. Kiddos five and under ski FREE with a paying adult. Additionally, ski midweek and save almost half off, only $45 midweek.
Brighton offers kids 10 and under ski free with a paying adult (up to two kids per paying adult). What! No excuses this year mom and dad, you've got to dust off your old gear and get out. Night skiing is also an option with discounted tickets and you pretty much have the slopes to yourself.
There are endless opportunities for family fun at Deer Valley! Book a winter lodging package that gives kids 12 and under a chance to ski FREE with a paying adult! Check the link for dates included. If you are just learning and don't want to ski the whole mountain, you can purchase a beginner pass which keeps you near the bottom on nice, gentle terrain to get your confidence up before heading up high. Additionally, the lessons and childcare are top notch and a guarantee to be a great day for you and the kids. The Ikon pass is a great way to enjoy Deer Valley at a reduced rate.

America's largest resort with 7,300 skiable acres! There are many options when shopping for season passes. Depending on if you are just skiing at Park City or you would like to use your pass at many other resorts across the country, the Epic Pass offers up the best option for families to get the most terrain under you feet all season.
The Epic School Kids pass is an amazing pass that offers Utah kids five FREE days of skiing/boarding for K-5th grade. Applications for this program close on October 8. This offer is no longer available, however, if your student is in 5th or 6th grade, check out the Ski Utah Passport.
