One of the questions I’m asked the most as a ski mom is, “Where can my kids ski for free?”
The good news is that there are several great places to ski with the children for free or at incredibly low prices that make it possible to have fun without breaking the bank. There are 15 ski resorts in Utah and here are our tips to help you save at each resort.

Alta Ski Area
When parents purchase a
family pass, children
under the age of six years old will get an unlimited ski pass for free. The family plan is a great option for those with multiple children under the age of six.
If your children are over the age of six, you can still save. Alta offers a season pass for those who have no problem starting their skiing sessions at 3:00 PM. Known by locals as “
Sunnyside at Three”. The pass starting at just $19, making it a great selection for anyone with older kids who love to ski.

I took my 4-year-old up skiing at Deer Valley because I read in this article that she was free. Nope., should have done my own research and not trusted this Ski Utah article. Not free at all. Ages 2-4 have to pay. $50 later my 4-year-old did two runs and was done.

Melissa, I personally would like to apologize. As you pointed out, Deer Valley no longer offers a free ticket for tots 0-4, they are now $45. This was a change that I did not catch. I have updated our assets and would like to offer an my apologies. Additionally I would like to make up the error, please look for email from us with details.
