YSL Finals

One of the most exciting, colorful and heartwarming weekends of the entire 2016-17 ski season will take place on March 11-12, 2017 when once again Brian Head Resort will be proud to host the USSA – Intermountain Division, Youth Ski League Finals. For two days, over three hundred of the best young ski racers in the Intermountain region converge on Brian Head Resort. There is never a dull moment for racers, parents, coaches or spectators as colorful team tents, uniforms and flags are flown proudly around the finish area adjacent to Giant Steps Lodge in an exciting scene reminiscent of an Olympic event. The crowd of enthusiastic spectators, coaches, teammates and parents cheer wildly for every racer regardless of team affiliation or age bracket. Come on out and take in the scene, cheer on these future stars of the US Ski Team, or just watch from the deck and see the joy and excitement that can be seen in every kid’s eyes and smiles. While the ski races are the reason these young athletes come to Brian Head, the awards night and after party hosted by Brian Head Resort in one of our lodge buildings is definitely the hit of the weekend. Kids (some still in their race uniforms) sporting their medals and awards, bouncing to dj music, eating pizza and just basically having a blast is a really fun scene indeed.
