Silver Fork Lodge is nestled in the Wasatch National Forest's Big Cottonwood Canyon, only 11 short miles from Salt Lake City, but a million miles away in attitude. With record snow fall each year and the effect of the nearby Great Salt Lake, Big Cottonwood Canyon is a powder lover's paradise. The lodge is 2 miles from Solitude Mountain Resort, and 3.5 miles from Brighton Resort. Silver Fork Lodge is a rustic alpine lodge with a full-service restaurant. A local favorite, the restaurant is known for comfort food made from scratch. Our breakfasts are famous with specialties like our crispy home-made hash browns, chile verde omelets, and trout and eggs. For lunch, you can't beat our Reuben Sandwich, Meatloaf, or Kassie's salad (basically a BLT salad topped with avocado). Dinner at the lodge can be an event in and of itself with the Canyon Pepper Steak, St Louis ribs smoked in-house, or daily specials like Lamb rack or Seared Halibut. Skiers and Boarders alike love to stop in after hitting the slopes for a beer and a tray of smothered Nachos or a dozen Jumbo Buffalo wings on the open deck looking out into the pine trees. All stays at the lodge include a full breakfast off the regular menu. No telephones or TV’s in the rooms ensure that your experience is filled with true peace and quiet. In addition to the deluxe rooms with queen or two twin beds and full bathrooms, the lodge offers a family suite with one queen bed room, full bath and an adjoining room with twin bunk beds. A library and TV lounge encourage guests to relax, read or just visit and enjoy tales of the day’s outdoor activities. A nice sauna welcomes guests on the lodge’s lower level. Silver Fork Lodge is also a favorite destination for weddings and events.
